Why this page exists
A link is not a decision
Most lists count a click on a link as consent. That stopped being true some time ago, and this is how we handle it instead.
The machines get there first
Why we ask for a press
Company mail filters and link checkers open every address in a message before it reaches you. If opening a link were enough to join a list, a good share of our confirmations would belong to software, and the record of who agreed to what would be worthless in exactly the inboxes where it has to hold up. A button needs a person.

Leaving stays one click
Every mail we send carries an unsubscribe link, and that one takes effect the moment it is opened. No page to read, no button to find, no reason for anyone to argue with you about it. Joining is the part we make you prove.
